This workshop will give you an introduction to the 8 Limbs and help you deepen your knowledge of Yoga.
Yoga is an art and science dedicated to creating a balance between mind, body and spirit so we can live in peace, have good health and live in harmony with everything and everyone.
Practised for thousands of years in India, the yoga philosophy was written down in ‘Yoga Sutras’ by the sage Patanjali approx. 200AD. This sacred text describes the inner workings of the mind and provides 8 steps for controlling its restlessness, so we can enjoy lasting peace.
It’s a holistic approach to living and helps us make a connection to the Divine.
So, these 8 steps basically act as a guideline on how to live a meaningful and purposeful life, they serve as a prescription for moral and ethical conduct and self-discipline. They attract attention towards health and they help us acknowledge the spiritual aspect of our nature.
